I went for that walk yesterday! I convinced Cam to come with me (wasn't that hard), so we loaded two strollers, and two car seats and headed for Kealia Point where we began our walk. Mind you, I had was not going to intentionally break into a sweat, I just wanted to be outdoors and get a little exercise, so I wore slippers (flip-flops - if you will). It was splendid! The smell of the salty ocean and the sound of the breaking waves was so - relaxing. There was a perfect breeze coming off of the ocean, and it was late enough in the evening that the sun was not quite down yet - but would be soon enough, so the temperature was, to say the least, perfect. I don't know how far we walked - not far, maybe 1 mile total. We took it easy and stopped at a pavilion about 1/2 mile and just talked. Funny how our lives have gotten so "complicated" that having a normal adult conversation was actually refreshing! Did I mention that both Makoa and Ezekiel fell asleep for the whole thing? How perfect! Cam and I agreed that we should make that a regular outing. We should. But in all honesty, we probably wont. But we'll try. If we do it every other month, that will be an accomplishment. But it was wonderful while it lasted.
And yes, that is a picture of the actual trail after it rained. Pretty, yeah?
