Well, we are home - safe and sound. Traveling wasn't particularly fun, but it wasn't awful.
I am a little bit surprised at how nice it is to be back in Utah, in my own home.
There is so much about Kaua'i that I miss, and always do - always will. Already looking at the pictures I shared makes me miss the little things about our days there, seeing my mom each morning and evening, watching my dad leave for work in his big ol' SUNBA van, the sound of those hens and that dang rooster that came around.
I miss the smell of the rain fall, and the feel of the breeze as it came through my open window every night. I miss the feel of waking up early and seeing the sunrise over the ocean.
I miss the church members, and the wonderful women I had the privilege of spending time and having inspiring conversations with. I hope we can go back sooner than later, mostly to cultivate those friendships.
But there is so much we are looking forward to this summer. So many reasons I am glad to be where I am. So much that I took for granted and having been away, I am more fully able to realize how blessed we are to live where we do.
How lucky am I to call two such wonderful places "home". I am always home, but always missing those I love. It does no good to dwell on where I am not. It only does good to love where I am, and love those I am around. For I am so blessed.
