What we do when we’re not at the beach

I wanted to make sure that I captured what it’s like to just be home all day. Looking through these, I laughed out loud and smiled to myself. This is so the real Hawai’i. Muggy, do-nothing days. This pretty much sums up the year we lived here. lol. (not really) I love it. My brother, Josh, had Friday off from school and all of our morning plans fell through… so this is how it rolled! (narratives under image)

3Apr 001

Hanging out in the truck, listening to music until I told him to shut it off so the battery wouldn’t die…

3Apr 006

Makoa shoving Ka’imi’s head, and Ka’imi not even acknowledging him.

3Apr 007

I got a cheesy grin… probably meant he thought he was doing something he should be…

3Apr 018

Like this. And I let him.

3Apr 028

Cheap thrills! My boys aren’t used to being outside barefoot…

3Apr 030

…And they love it!

3Apr 038

Makoa was around too… thought he would try out this pink bike…

3Apr 042

Josh gave them rides around the carport

3Apr 047

Ka’imi was a little more tricky.

3Apr 053 3Apr 066

This is a classic expression of his. One I don’t capture often. This made me laugh out loud. He really does this all the time!

3Apr 072

Neighbor’s dog. I hate it. It scares me.

3Apr 081

Typically “sided” Makoa (“excited”). (He tells me, “Mom! I’m so sided!”

3Apr 083

These flowers are not traditionally for wearing… lol. He found out pretty quick how tricky they are (they just fall apart).

3Apr 087

Joshua’s crocs. He used to rock a green pair.
